Our Story

The Portuguese clothing brand BAJU BRAND was founded in 2024 by Joana Bastos Ferreira, who, driven by personal taste and a passion for fashion, created her brand. The brand is designed in Switzerland and produced in Portugal. Baju Brand is initially a brand of bikinis and swimwear, designed 100% with women and their needs in mind. With this collection, Baju Brand aims to offer customers exclusive, almost unique and special pieces. In this collection, Baju Brand operates sustainably, all pieces are available only in small quantities and limited editions. The brand believes in the power of supporting and accepting all women, all bodies and all colors. Individuality is what makes each human being unique. Baju Brand products can only be found on the brand's own website.

Our DNA

Baju came from a combination of my surname and my first name. BA from Bastos and JU from Joana, as Ju is the diminutive of my name. My middle name is Orquídea (Orchid) and that's how the name for the first collection, Orchid Collection, came about. It's not a very common name and so I thought it would make my brand even more special.

Brand Slogan

The idea for my slogan "From the alps to the world" came about because I live in the Swiss Alps and want to deliver my pieces all over the world. I wanted to launch my brand because I have a passion for fashion and because I like to make women feel unique and confident. All pieces in the collection are handmade with love in Portugal. I hope you feel powerful with my pieces, as they were designed with great care for each one of you.
